Outgoing chairman of Ifelagba Isunba Community Development Association’s (CDA), Mr. Emmanuel Adewale Banjo, has urged the Ado Odo Ota Council leadership, the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun and the Federal Government to address the deplorable condition of community roads in Itele Aworiland and invest in infrastructure development.
He made the call when the CDA celebrated its 12th anniversary to mark a significant milestone in the community’s growth and development.
The event featured the installation of a new leadership, awards to outstanding residents and a call to the leadership of the area council, Ogun State governor and the Federal Government on the deplorable condition of communities roads in Itele Awori land.
Mr. Banjo reflected on the association’s humble beginnings in 2008 and highlighted key achievements during his leadership, including periodic road grading, security gate construction, building of security house, community electrification, empowerment initiatives and palliative distribution to community members.
The new chairman, Oluwafemi Mathew Owoade, pledged to continue the developmental trajectory established by his predecessor, emphasising unity and collaboration among community members and leaders.
Fifty-three distinguished residents were honoured for their contributions to community growth and development, including the outgoing chairman, Mr. Banjo, the new chairman, Owoade, the immediate former chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Moruf Olabiyi and Pastor Dayo Bukola James.
Community leaders equally called for urgent repairs of local roads to enhance connectivity and economic activities, reaffirming the community’s commitment to progress, collaboration and improved infrastructure.
The event concluded with a call for continued service, unity and development to ensure a thriving and prosperous Ifelagba Isunba CDA.
