The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to the welfare, reintegration, and capacity development of retiring military personnel in the country.
Speaking during the Passing Out Ceremony of Course 01/2025, the Commandant of NAFRC, Air Vice Marshal Bashir Mamman, praised President Tinubu for his administration’s numerous interventions that have significantly elevated the centre’s training infrastructure, resources, and post-retirement empowerment programmes.
He said: “Our profound appreciation goes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his committed support towards building the future of retiring personnel. His recent approvals have injected fresh energy and purpose into this centre’s operations.”
According to him, President Tinubu’s intervention has led to the increment of starter packs for participants, as well as the expansion and upgrade of NAFRC’s e-learning infrastructure, enabling the centre to reach more retiring personnel, including those unable to physically attend training. The commandant highlighted additional presidential approvals, which include: Renovation and equipping of NAFRC vocational workshops with modern industrial tools, digitalisation and electronic archiving of participant records, establishment of a functional website and e-learning platform, and overall funding support for improved training delivery.
The commandant explained that the interventions are not just administrative gestures, noting that they reflect the president’s deep understanding of the challenges veterans face and his determination to ensure that no personnel is left behind as they transition into civilian life.
AVM Mamman said that these developments have positioned NAFRC to provide world-class vocational training, entrepreneurship skills, and sustainable post-service livelihood strategies.
Referencing the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration, the commandant said the reforms at NAFRC are a clear example of how national policies are being translated into impactful programmes for military personnel.
