The Niger-South Senior Stakeholders’ Forum (NSSF) has reached out to the bereaved families in Mokwa Local Government Area, Niger State, following the devastating flood disaster that claimed numerous lives and caused extensive destruction of property.
Alhaji Ibrahim Liman MIfire, Chairman, Niger-South Senior Stakeholders’ Forum (NSSF), who led the delegation sympathised with victims of the devastating flood, donated N3 million to provide relief and support for the affected families.
He said the donation was a token but the NSSF stands in solidarity with the government and people of Mokwa during this difficult time and prays for the eternal rest of the departed souls and comfort for the bereaved families.
“We are ready to further collaborate with the government, traditional institutions and other stakeholders to mitigate the effects of the disaster. We also stand ready to support the people of Mokwa and work together to rebuild and restore the affected communities,” he said.
The NSSF leaders confirmed that the situation is a precarious one, and urged all stakeholders including local and international philanthropic organization to come to the aide of the Mokwa people, providing support and relief to the affected communities.
