There was heavy security at Ayeso Correctional Centre, Ilesa, Osun State, yesterday, after a jailbreak that occurred on Tuesday.
When our correspondent visited the place, journalists were prevented from entering as armed security operatives were strategically stationed on the roads leading to the facility.
Joel Oyedokun, spokesperson of the correctional centre, who was contacted on mobile phone, said the facility is working with Nigeria Army, policemen, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the State Security Service.
He disclosed that a manhunt had been launched to ensure arrest of the escapees, assuring that they would be rearrested.
