Former Kano State Governor and leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has denied claims in a viral video attributing critical comments against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to him.
In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page on Saturday, May 17, 2025, Kwankwaso described the remarks as false and the work of political mischief-makers.
“My attention has been drawn to a statement purportedly stating my position on the recurring political realignments in Nigeria. I wish to categorically state that such statements are false, unfounded, and the products of political mischief,” he said.
Kwankwaso noted that he has deliberately avoided commenting on current political developments and intends to maintain that stance for now. “I have refrained from commenting on contemporary political events, and I will continue to do so for the time being,” he added.
He urged the public and media to verify any statements attributed to him through his verified social media handles or official channels. “In this regard, I urge the public to only engage with statements that come from my public handles and other official sources,” he concluded.
