Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun joined global law enforcement leaders at the World Police Summit 2025 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from May 13 to 16, 2025.
The summit fosters dialogue, partnerships, and innovations in policing, aligning with Nigeria’s commitment to international cooperation and intelligence-led law enforcement.
Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that Egbetokun held strategic discussions with counterparts from various countries, focusing on intelligence sharing, training exchanges, and joint operations to combat cyber-enabled crimes and enhance border security.
“The IGP’s presence underscores Nigeria’s commitment to the modernisation of policing strategies in an increasingly interconnected and technologically driven world,” Adejobi said.
The summit featured technology showcases, workshops, and panels on crime forecasting, forensic tools, community policing, and digital identity systems—areas Egbetokun identified as critical for Nigeria’s security architecture.
His participation reinforces the Nigeria Police Force’s dedication to professionalism, global cooperation, and aligning with international best practices for a safer future.
