On May 4th, 2025, history was made as Johnson Omeiza Alabi, popularly known as Jodrey Banks, was officially appointed Patron of Mr Ideal Nigeria at the grand coronation ceremony held at Swiss International – The Vistana, VGC, Lagos.

This appointment recognizes Jodrey’s remarkable contributions to fashion, fitness, and youth empowerment, solidifying his legacy within one of Nigeria’s most prestigious male pageants.

A trailblazer in his own right, Jodrey first captured national attention in 2020 when he won the title of Mr Ideal Nigeria, representing Abuja and triumphing over 39 finalists. Since then, he has used his platform to inspire young men across Nigeria, proving that modeling can be a gateway to entrepreneurship, leadership, and service.

As Patron, Jodrey is set to play a pivotal role in mentoring contestants, shaping initiatives that foster personal growth, and further elevating the pageant’s mission to empower young African men. His journey—from titleholder to entrepreneur, to now a guiding force behind the competition—is a testament to his dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders.

Beyond the runway, Jodrey wears many hats. He is the CEO of Starke Fitness and Power Shell, a Business Development Manager, and an award-winning advocate for youth and enterprise. In 2024, he received the “Prize for Business” from House of Twitch for his outstanding achievements in entrepreneurship.

His passion for service extends into philanthropy as well; Jodrey is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Shomolu, District 9112, a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF), and currently chairs the Youth Service Committee, spearheading projects that equip young people with skills, leadership opportunities, and pathways to self-reliance.

Reflecting on his appointment, Jodrey shared:
