Seyi, son of President Bola Tinubu, has denied sponsoring thugs to disrupt an inauguration event of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Abuja.

He made this known in an Instagram post on Friday.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah, who claims to be NANS president, alleged that thugs sponsored by Seyi Tinubu stormed The Wells Carlton Hotel in Asokoro, and disrupted the ceremony.

Isah added that the thugs armed with cutlasses and guns stabbed attendees, looted property, and forced dignitaries present, including Senator Ibrahim Shekarau and former Kogi governor, Idris Wada, to flee.

Reacting, Seyi Tinubu described the allegations as “fictional” and “defamatory”.

“Wow.. how can someone lie with so much confidence…?? Wow wow… an attempt to defame my character. May God be with you, Comrade Atiku Isah,” he said.

In another post, Seyi stated, “I have never held a meeting to discuss any subject matter with Comrade Isah in Lagos or anywhere else in the world. I have never knowingly met him before. Neither did I visit any location with thugs.

“All these allegations made by Atiku Isah are completely fictional.”

Daily Sun reports that there has been confusion surrounding the National President of NANS, with Isah and Comrade Olushola Ladoja both laying claim to the position.
