The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has introduced a revised pricing structure for its National Identification Number (NIN) services, the first adjustment in over ten years.
Announced on Thursday, May 1, by NIMC spokesperson Kayode Adegoke, the update aligns fees with current operational costs and industry standards, effective immediately.
Adegoke stated, “NIMC is committed to protecting the interests of Nigerians and ensuring services are delivered at fair and transparent prices.”
The revised fees aim to maintain service quality and integrity while remaining affordable. NIMC warned Front-End Partners (FEPs) to adhere strictly to the approved rates, with violators facing sanctions, including licence revocation.
The updated pricing will be published on NIMC’s website (www.nimc.gov.ng). The public is urged to report overcharging to the Inspectorate and Enforcement Unit.
Director-General Engr Abisoye Coker-Odusote thanked President Bola Tinubu and Interior Minister Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for their support in enhancing Nigeria’s identity ecosystem.
