Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors, has declared that Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the November 8 Anambra governorship election, is no match for incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo and will face a decisive defeat.
Responding to a Facebook post by Eneh Victor, who urged Soludo to restrain his supporters from insulting a Catholic priest involved in public ministry, Obigwe alleged that Victor is aligned with Ukachukwu, whom he accused of “buying up anybody available” to fuel his governorship ambition.
Labelling Ukachukwu’s bid as “dead on arrival”, Obigwe stated he cannot be swayed by financial inducements and warned that Ukachukwu’s supporters, motivated by pecuniary gains, will soon face reality as the election nears.
“There is no vacancy in Anambra State Government House,” Obigwe asserted. “The majority of Anambra’s populace testify that no governor in the state’s history has achieved what Soludo’s administration has in three years. One million Ukachukwus cannot unseat him.”
He predicted a “walkover” for Soludo, citing his administration’s achievements, including infrastructure and security improvements.
Obigwe emphasised that Anambra is in safe hands under Soludo, and voters will reject “desperate politicians” like Ukachukwu, whom he accused of using “sugar-coated words and empty promises”.
