Paul Chukwuma, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate for the November 8 Anambra State governorship election, has unveiled Uzo Okagbue as his running mate.

Okagbue, from Umunnachi in Dunukofia Local Government Area, previously served as Chief of Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to former Governor Willie Obiano.

At the unveiling ceremony at the YPP Secretariat in Udoka Housing Estate, Awka, Chukwuma explained that Okagbue’s selection followed extensive consultations with God, family, clergy, party executives, and stakeholders across Anambra’s 21 local government areas.

He expressed confidence in victory, stating, “We are confident that with Okagbue as our running mate and his long-time grassroots mobilisation strategies, the YPP is fully positioned to take over power from the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
