Former Aviation Minister and public policy advocate Chief Osita Chidoka has endorsed Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election bid, calling him “a model for the Anambra of our dreams”. Impressed by Soludo’s performance, Chidoka praised his credentials, visionary leadership, and achievements over the past three years.

During a live radio interview in Anambra on Wednesday, Chidoka said the 8 November gubernatorial election is a critical decision for the state’s future. “The question isn’t what candidates say today, but who represents the future we want,” he said. “Among all candidates, who would I want my son to be like? My answer is clear: Governor Charles Soludo.”

Drawing on Cuba’s tradition where children admire Che Guevara, Chidoka urged Anambra to see Soludo as a role model. “Our children should look up to leaders like Soludo—first-class brain, former CBN governor, global thinker, and committed public servant,” he said. “That’s the future I want for Anambra.”

Chidoka highlighted Soludo’s focus on education, noting their joint work on a free basic education model. He called education the best tool to end poverty and praised Soludo’s efforts to make it accessible to all children.

He also commended Soludo’s inclusive leadership and ability to work with talented individuals for impactful change. This knack for identifying talent, Chidoka said, ensures sustainable governance.

Chidoka praised the Homeland Security Law 2025, which involves landlords, communities, and religious institutions in crime prevention. He described it as “a national template for proactive, morally grounded, and technologically enabled security governance”.

“There are no sentiments here,” Chidoka said. “Governor Soludo is the kind of man I want my son to emulate. He is the standard-bearer for the Anambra of tomorrow—and that is why I fully support his re-election.”
