A member of the House of Representatives representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State, Hon. Wole Oke, has dumped the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Oke, who is the chairman, House Committee on Foreign Affairs, announced his resignation through a letter addressed to the party chairman in Ward 7, Obokun Local Government of Osun State.

The letter dated 16th April, 2025, was obtained by our correspondent in Osogbo, on Wednesday.

Titled: “Resignation of my membership from the People’s Democratic Party,” Oke did not adduce reason to his resignation.

Though the lawmaker has been having a serious disagreement with Governor Ademola Adeleke since the rumour of plans to withdraw his ticket for another person.

He had faulted some policies and programmes of the state government openly on social media.

The resignation letter reads: “I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my Membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect.

“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political
associates, family and friends.

“It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith,” Oke said.

When contacted, Oke declined calls and messages sent to him were not replied.
