Real Madrid kept their La Liga title ambitions alive with a narrow 1-0 victory over Athletic Club on Sunday night.
Federico Valverde scored the game-winning goal in the 93rd minute, keeping Los Blancos in contention with Barcelona.
The result means Carlo Ancelotti’s side remains four points behind Barcelona.
Following their elimination from the Champions League in the hands of Arsenal in midweek, it seemed Madrid were heading for another disappointing result.
The champions found it hard to score against Athletic, who had rotated heavily, following their Europa League victory over Rangers on Thursday.
And when Vinicius Junior found the back of the net, the goal was ruled out as Endrick was offside in the build-up.
Bellingham requested for a penalty after colliding softly in the area, and he then blasted over from close range in the dying moments.
But Valverde had the last word, slamming into the top corner with a sliced, swerving shot.
