The Sadique Baba Abubakar Golf Club in Shasha, Lagos is gearing up for an exciting golf showdown— the GolfGrace Alumni Golf Tournament on May 10. Over 100 players from the GolfGrace Training School are set to compete in this inaugural event, which was organized by its founder, Agboola Kolawole.
Captain of the Sadique Baba Abubakar Golf Club, Air Commodore F.T. Agbebi, expressed high expectations for the competition. “It’s going to be a thrilling event,” he said. “The atmosphere is electric, and we can’t wait for the golfers to showcase their skills. The tournament is all about bringing together players who’ve trained under the same roof at GolfGrace Training School to enjoy the game.”
Dr. Dare Olayiwola, the club’s vice-captain, echoed Agbebi’s enthusiasm. He shared, “There’s a lot of buzz around this event. The players are in great spirits and the competition will be fierce. One of the players is even hitting -9 on the course, showing just how competitive things are going to be.”
Olayiwola also assured that the club is ready to deliver an unforgettable championship experience. “We’ve got strong sponsors and teams lined up. We’re doing everything to make sure the course is in perfect shape for the event, and everyone is looking forward to a fantastic day.”
