The Federal Government has expressed warm sentiments to Her Royal Highness Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, as she begins her official visit to Nigeria.
Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shared this in a statement released in Abuja. He announced that the Crown Princess’s visit is set for Monday, 7th April, to Wednesday, 9th April 2025. Ebienfa said the ministry is delighted to host her.
He noted that the visit highlights the strong, friendly ties between Nigeria and Sweden. Both nations share a commitment to cooperation in trade, sustainable development, gender equality, and cultural exchange.
Ebienfa added that Nigeria is keen to strengthen its bond with Sweden and anticipates a productive visit for both countries.
The Crown Princess will be welcomed by senior Nigerian officials. She will also take part in high-level talks to boost diplomatic and economic relations. “Crown Princess Victoria will be received in audience by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar on Monday 7th April 2025,” Ebienfa said.
“She is also to meet with His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON; the Governor of Lagos State and commission the Swedish Trade office in Lagos,” he added.
