For D.A. Blankinship,  “February, the month of love, is a time to cherish the bonds that warm our hearts.”

Similarly, Charmaine J. Forde said: “Though, February is short, it is filled with lots of love and sweet surprises.”

The central theme of these assertions is love. Indeed, like someone said, love reigns in February.

Last February, the train of love arrived at Alins Comprehensive Secondary School, Agbani, Enugu. And for the management and students of the school, it was an incredible day, a day to remember.

That day, Dr Juliet Edeh, the founder and chief executive officer, Bezaleel Continental Trading Limited and Bezaleel Foundation, drove her vehicle of generosity, love and care to the school and left everyone stunned.

Edeh, who loves seeing children receive quality education, took two students of the school under her care. She offered them scholarship for their secondary school education. She also promised to pay their WAEC fees when the time comes. The students are

Master Ogbodo Bethel and Miss Edeh Chiamaka.

Edeh, whose philanthropic efforts have effectively impacted many lives, said: “I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve selected two outstanding students to sponsor their secondary education. Thanks to the support of Bezaleel Foundation.

“Let’s come together to make a difference in the lives of these young minds. Every little contribution counts, and I urge you to support children’s education in any way you can.”

The principal of the school was moved by Bezaleel’s action. According to him, it was the first time the school received such gesture.

He added that the lucky students were smart but were at the verge of discontinuing due to financial difficulties. Then Bezaleel came to their rescue.

Over the years, Edeh has been going about doing good In society. In November 2024, she formally inaugurated Bezaleel Foundation so as to expand the scope of her involvement in philanthropic engagements. For instance, towards the end of last year, Bezaleel distributed food stuff to dozens of people in Enugu, among other things.

Edeh has an admirable reputation of  supporting indigent students and vulnerable people, particularly women. She has promised higher education scholarships for students with financial needs before the end of this year.

Edeh said she is on the same page with Winston Churchill who said: “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

And like Maya Angelou, Edeh has “found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.”
