Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has emphasized the seriousness of hyperemesis gravidarum, otherwise known as “early morning sickness”, calling it a serious medical condition.

Posting on her social media, Etomi-Wellington stated that early morning sickness affects the quality of life of the person suffering from it.

The movie star was reacting to a report of a pregnant 24-year-old woman who committed suicide after extreme morning sickness.

Etomi-Wellington hinted that she experienced the adverse effects of the ailment while acknowledging the presence of her husband, doctors and family members who helped her through it.

“When I talk about the seriousness of hyperemesis gravidarum, people don’t get it and I hate it.

“It is not ordinary morning sickness. It is a serious condition that literally affects the quality of your life,” she penned.
