Three suspects have been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in connection with the abduction and gang rape of a 15-year-old girl, Amina Abdullahi, in Gantsare village, Wamakko Local Government Area.

The suspects, identified as Halidu Shehu, 20, Jamilu Umar, 20, and Usama Bello, 24, were apprehended following a report by the victim’s parents.

Amina was held in captivity for over three days in Shehu’s room, where she was subjected to repeated sexual assaults. She was allegedly drugged and lured by an individual named Rabi’atu, who remains at large.

NSCDC Commandant UI Alfadarai condemned the act, describing it as “horrific and inhumane”. He assured the public that the command is committed to ensuring the suspects face justice.

“The victim has received medical attention, and results from the examination are awaited to aid in the ongoing investigation,” he stated.

Alfadarai encouraged the public to continue providing credible and timely information to assist in combating crime. He urged parents, guardians and community leaders to collaborate in building a society free from such heinous acts.

“Protecting our children is a collective responsibility, and we must remain united in this fight against all forms of criminality in the state,” he added.
