Founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Prof. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, was conferred with a GAB Platinum Award at the 26th Annual Gathering of Africa’s Best (GAB) Awards in London, UK.
The award recognised Olukoya’s “contributions to the promotion of the positive image of Africa and Africans around the world through Philanthropy.” It was presented by Nourredine Yazid, Ambassador of Algeria to UK. He was represented by Mr Mouloud Ikhlef.
Olukoya was represented by his wife, Dr Folashade Olukoya. He commended the organisers for the GAB Awards “initiative that appreciates people who have done wonderful and extraordinary things to contribute to the wellbeing of mankind.”

Although widely recognised as a scientist, theologian and founder of MFM, he has made significant mark as a philanthropist, leveraging his influence and resources to uplift individuals and communities globally.
He is passionate about education and skill development. Through the Daniel and Fola Biotechnology Foundation, he has trained numerous Nigerians in modern laboratory techniques, including molecular biology and biotechnology. This initiative equips participants with the skills needed to excel in a highly competitive global market, thereby fostering innovation and economic growth.
As a generous advocate for academic excellence, he offers scholarships to deserving students, enabling them to pursue higher education without financial strain. His contributions in this area have created opportunities for many young individuals to achieve their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.
To ensure the Church-owned University – Mountain Top University strikes the right balance between being well-funded to fulfil its mission to become a world class citadel of learning, and equally ensuring that less-privileged Church members are able to afford to attend the university (sometimes at Zero-cost to students); he established the Mountain Top University Foundation.
His scientific research led to the development of “Dogik,” a fortified food product aimed at combating malnutrition and diarrhea in children. This initiative underscores his commitment to improving public health and addressing pressing nutritional challenges.
He works to reduce unemployment and create self-reliant individuals by creating and supporting programmes that empower people through vocational training, entrepreneurship development, and financial assistance. He also actively supports welfare programmes designed to provide relief to underprivileged communities.
