At least two teams have booked their places in the knockout stages of this season’s UEFA Champions League.
They are Liverpool and Barcelona. Arne Slot’s men have remained at the top of the league phase since Match Day 1.
Their 2-1 victory over Lille on Tuesday night retained their spotless record.
The Reds have won all seven of their games so far, accumulating 21 maximum points.
Barcelona’s thrilling 5-4 over Benfica means that Liverpool still need one more point to be guaranteed to be in the top spot.
However, no team can now surpass their total of 21 points following seven straight victories.
Barcelona also secured a spot in the next round, with the win in Portugal bringing them to 18 points.
After each club has played eight matches, the top eight advance to the final 16.
The clubs ranked ninth through 24th advance to the play-offs to complete the knockout round lineup.
