Dr. Jane Obioma Onwumere is the President and Group Managing Dircetor of Property World Africa Network (PWAN), a real estate enterprise she co-founded with her husband, Dr. Augustine Onwumere.
At the time they established the company, people thought that she didn’t stand any chance of becoming a successful player in the sector. Twelve years down the line, the small enterprise which started as the first real estate network marketing company in the world, has grown into group of companies, raising top executives in the real estate network marketing segment of the market, creating job opportunities, empowering people and raising millionaires.
In its first nine years of operation, PWAN established about 250 exclusive residential estates in Nigeria. It is also known as the single corporate entity with the largest land bank spread over the South-West, South-East and South-South Nigeria.
Through her emphasis on network marketing, particularly the 5×5 matrix approach, Dr. Jane Onwumere cultivated a robust network of over 300,000 independent real estate professionals, known as PWAN Business Owners (PBOs).
Under her leadership, PWAN Group has grown rapidly into a network comprising close to 100 companies, setting unprecedented benchmarks in Nigerian and global business history.
Apart from her dexterity in business, she is also a well known philanthropist. Through different programmes and platforms, she has given alms to the needy in the society.
She is a woman with a great passion for helping people to have a better living through empowerment, education and mentoring.
She is the winner of The Sun Man of the Year Award.
