Member of the 7th Assembly that represented Nnewi North Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly (2019-2023) Nonso Okafor, has unveiled a school for the training of realtors and practitioners in the real estate sector.
Known as Awka School of Real Estate (ASR), Okafor who unveiled the school during the real estate summit and end of the year fiesta organised by Reapfold Properties in Awka yesterday, said the mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation needed to excel in the real estate industry, fostering professional growth and sustainable practices that contribute to the development of communities and the real estate sector in Nigeria and beyond.
He said Reapfold properties is building legacies and creating wealth through real estate business, noting that the fiesta and summit was organised to serve not only as a a convergence of ideas on the opportunities in the dynamic world of real estate but also to celebrate its strides in the last one year while rewarding dedicated staff and agents for their hard work.
He said the school thrives on the principles of its commitment to expertise, mentorship, practical learning, professionalism and innovation.
Anambra State Commissioner for Housing, Paully Onyeka said Governor Soludo remains committed in addressing housing deficits in the state. He praised management of Reapfold properties for their commitment to professionalism and warned that government is ready to sanction some real estate companies who engage in indiscriminate sales of land without development.
“The governor is helping your business by creating roads to places where people would ordinarily not want to go. He is creating roads and this is making the real estate industry thrive, as the cost of land in such places shot up.
Today, if you buy land in Anambra, you are making huge investment, very soon, Anmabra Anambra will be the most developed state in the country, but we will not accept people just selling land, whereas our target is to have them developed” he said.
Marketing Manager of Reapfold Properties Limited, Miss Chiamaka Udugbo, expressed excitement over the company’s achievements and the summit’s objectives.
Udugbo noted that since its inception in October 2023 under the leadership of Mr. Nonso Smart Okafor, Reapfold Properties has completed nine major real estate projects, opened offices in Awka, Asaba, Enugu, and Abuja and built a sales network of over 1,000 realtors.
The event which was themed “Building Sustainable Wealth Through Real Estate,” brought together industry leaders, professionals and investors to exchange ideas and celebrate milestones and also featured awards, recognizing outstanding realtors and staff for their contributions to the company growth.
Dr Stanley Onunkwo , Chairman, Information Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists was honoured with the Grand Ambassador Award as the topmost performer who smiled home with an SUV vehicle, an international trip, deep freezer among other gift items.
