The Senior Pastor of Shalom Baptist Church in Akowonjo, Lagos State, Dr. Theophilus OlaOlorun, has said 2025 would be a year of restoration for Nigeria.
Speaking at the church’s annual King’s Banquet, OlaOlorun, said Nigeria would triumph over its challenges and be on the path of revival from 2025.
The cleric said despite challenges in 2024, the church has continued to expand in the number of its members, branches, and missionary works.
According to him, the church has prayed for total restoration in Nigeria before 2025.
“The prayer has been answered in the spirit realm. Its confirmation in the physical will be seen, starting in January. The advent of Jesus Christ is a message of hope, restoration and accomplishment.
“As a people, we should be hopeful in the leadership of the country as there are indications of a turnaround of the nation’s fortunes beginning from 2025, which has been declared a year of restoration.
“We owe our leaders prayer for God to give them the wisdom to remain on track and lead us to the desired destinations.
“Christ is the reason for the season. The banquet is to stir people to be in a good frame of mind to celebrate Christmas and thank God for sparing our lives,” he said.
The cleric said the primary purpose of the annual gathering was to draw youths, teenagers, and new members closer to God.
The banquet, attended by members of the church’s branches, is a tradition of the church to herald Christmas.
The 2024 banquet, the 10th in the series, was held at the church’s auditorium in Akowonjo.
It featured a praise and worship session, feast, orientation for the youth, and stocktaking.
