The Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation is set to partner with the Nigerian Air Force to address water challenges at several Air Force bases across the country.

The Minister, Professor Joseph Utsev, announced this during a meeting with the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, in his office in Abuja.

Professor Utsev, who described water as essential for the smooth operation of troops, stated that a technical team would be dispatched immediately to some Air Force bases experiencing water challenges. The team will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing water plants to provide interventions aimed at better serving the officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force.

He acknowledged the contributions of the Nigerian Air Force and other military formations in safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity over the years and assured sustained collaboration and support at all times.

Earlier, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, explained that the visit was to appeal for the Minister’s intervention in addressing water challenges faced by Air Force bases in Gombe, Kaduna, and Bayelsa, to enhance their operational effectiveness.
