President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo among other dignitaries will grace the burial of former Ohanaeze Ndigbo President General, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, scheduled to hold on November 1.

The chairman of the Local Organising committee ( LOC, Prince Charles Amadi, disclosed this yesterday at a press briefing held at the Oriental Glass House, Owerri. “Our departed great son will commence his final journey on 16 October from Lagos to Abuja on the 18 and to the state. President Tinubu, ex- presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo are amongst the dignitaries who will grace the event.

“The Local Organising committee is working with the national burial committee to give our great son a benefiting burial. We have taken adequate security measures to ensure a hitch free event.”  The funeral will take place at Iwuanyanwu’s country home in Atta in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.

Amadi said that the leaders of socio-cultural organisations including Afenifere, PANDEF, Arewa Consultative Forum and leaders of other ethnic nationalities will attend the ceremony.

He said: “ The essence of this press briefing is to partner with the press to give a befitting burial to a great son of Ndigbo and to let the public know the activities leading to the final burial ceremony of our departed great son which will hold on November 1, 2024 at his country home in Atta community in Ikeduru council area of Imo state.
