The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has declared that the Institution is admitting students for 10 new programmes in the ongoing admission for 2024/2025 academic session.
This is even as as the polytechnic declares that the cut off mark for admission into its National Diploma programme for candidates who sat for the 2024 Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination (JAMB) is 120.
A statement signed by Registrar of the Institution, Mr Abiodun Oloyede states that 10 new programmes that were recently accredited for the Institution by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) are part of the courses the institution has listed for its admission for 2024/2025 academic session.
The new courses listed by the Registrar at the National Diploma level include
Geology, Agricultural Technology,
Mechatronics Engineering Technology,
Water Resources Engineering Technology,
Library and Information Science,
Health Information Management; and
Public Administration.
Oloyede urged those who scored 120 and above in the 2024 UTME and chose Osun State Polytechnic, Iree as their first choice or intending to change to the Institution to make use of the opportunity of  choosing any of the new courses,  while other existing programmes in the polytechnic are also available for admission in various faculties in the institution.
It would be recalled that the NBTE recently visited the Polytechnic for accreditation of new courses both at National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Levels.
The new courses that are  also available  at the Higher National Diploma (HND) level according to Oloyede are Agricultural and Bio-Enviromental Engineering Technology with options in:
Farm Power and Machinery, Soil and Water,
Post-Harvest and Science Laboratory Technology (Physics with Electronics Option).
Oloyede stated further that the admission application form for the Post-UTME is currently available on the Institution’s portal at https://ospolyportal.com.
