Kebbi  PDP  moves to protect Senator Maidoki,exonerates him  from insecurity in Southern Senatorial district

  Acting Zonal Vice-Chairman,Kebbi South of the PDP, Alhaji Hussaini Abdullahi Raha,made these clarification while addressing newsmen in Yauri,Kebbi South Senatorial district.

  Raha explained that pointing accusing fingers to Senator Maidoki over insecurity, fictitious petition from the zone, shown that,those accusing him of that, lacked basic understanding of how Nigeria’s democracy system are working.

 According to him, “to point accusing fingers on Dist Senator Garba Musa Maidoki over the current state of insecurity, economic hardships, deplorable conditions of roads among other things is not only a gross injustice to his person and the PDP but sheer ignorance, overzealousness and lack of understanding of how democracy works.

  “The Peoples Democratic Party PDP on whose platform he got elected has never complained, queried or expressed displeasure with the Dist. Senator Garba Musa Maidoki over his one year stewardship at the Senate.

   “It is our firm belief that as the Senator representing Kebbi South, he was quite aware of the tasks and enormity of expectations from his constituents including expressed desire for security improvement, motorable roads, accessible and affordable healthcare services, Agricultural development and youth empowerment among numerous others.

   “At the time of his assumption of office, Kebbi South Senatorial Zone has been yearning for quality representation capable of pushing for improved security,  construction of access roads to major towns and villages in the zone and happily Senator Maidoki swung into action by designing collaborative mechanism with relevant Security Agencies and concerned stakeholders to mitigate the situation. ( Security matters are too sensitive to be discussed here) but PDP Kebbi State is satisfied with the efforts put in place by the Senator.

    “In view of this, I wish to reiterate that the Kebbi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party including Kebbi South Zonal leadership of the Party is solidly behind Senator Garba Musa Maidoki in his quest to improve quality representation to the people of Kebbi South Senatorial Zone.

  “It is on record that as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Legislative Compliance his remarkable performances are well noted and appreciated by the Party”.

  Raha disclosed that, within the period of one year, PDP proudly acknowledged that Senator Garba Musa Maidoki has recorded alot of   achievements across the 7 Local Government Areas of the Senatorial Zone.

   He noted that Maidoki has constructed of Mini Jetty at Warra, Ngaski LGA, construction of Medical Laboratories at General Hospitals Dirin Daji and Warra in Sakaba and Ngaski LGAs respectively, construction of Hand pump boreholes in Zuru LGA,provision of Solar Powered Street Lights to the 5 Cemeteries in Zuru LGA and Provision of medical interventions to critical patients across Kebbi South Senatorial District.

  He added the Senator also rehabilitated of classroom blocks in Dantudu Gomo Primary School, Zuru LGA, provision of relief materials to victims of banditry at various IDPs through NEMA across Kebbi South Senatorial District, facilitated ofbthe recruitment of some applicants from Kebbi South Senatorial District into the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Police Force and the Police Academy Wudil as well as facilitated the recruitment of many eligible applicants into the Nigerian Air Force, the 86RRI, 87RRI of the Nigerian Army and the enlistment of Officers into the Nigerian Defense Academy.among others.

   “It is also pertinent to know that for any member of the National Assembly to make appreciable outing there has to be a harmonious working relationship with the Executive Arms and State Authorities and this synergy is majorly responsible for all the success recorded in the fight against insurgency in the zone, attractions of projects and programs aimed at improving the welfare of the People including roads, water, healthcare and agricultural development projects among others. It should also be butressed that despite being in the Senate for the first time, Senator Garba Musa Maidoki has been relentlessly making frantic efforts to serve his people to the best of his ability.

  “PDP therefore wishes to condemn all attempts to divert his attention from his constitutional responsibility and commitment to the welfare of his constituents.

   “At this juncture, I wish to reiterate that PDP is currently having 5 Members of the State Working Committee from Kebbi South, 8 Executive Committee Members, 7 LGA Party Chairmen, 71 Wards Party Chairmen and 220 Delegates that were involved in the Nomination and election of Senator Garba Musa Maidoki and have taken the pain to verify the fictitious petition without any trace of authenticity from all the 1060 Polling Units across the entire Kebbi South Senatorial District.

   “Therefore PDP wishes to dismiss the petition and describe it as mere appendage of overzealous ness, uncultured, speculative, undemocratic and a fraudulent desperation of bad losers.

   “PDP is therefore calling on its teeming supporters in the State especially from the Kebbi South Senatorial District to remain calm, focussed and not be distracted by the mischief makers and their failed sponsors.”.
