Frist I want to commend Governor Ben Ayade for the way he has been piloting the affairs of Cross Rivers State. I want to suggest to him tom begin to think seriously about building a factory that can process the cash crops in the state, which over the years got less attention from the state government.
It is not news that the state has palm trees, ogbono, Kolanuts, plantain and so on, are everywhere in the state. If they can be properly harnessed, the state would be benefit immensely as processing would yield more revenue for the state.
Nevertheless, there is need to also protect the trees that produce these cash crops.
At this point, let me emphasize that the cash crops in the state can contribute to the socio-economic development of our state; s hence attention should be given to them.
