Deola is an Afrobeat artist born in Lagos, Nigeria and currently resides in Houston, Texas, United States.
‘Away’, a trending song has a video directed by fast-rising Nigerian female director, Ella Raaye.
Deola is inspired by many legendary music artists that have contributed immensely to the musical landscape over the years, specifically acts like: Sade Adu, Fela Kuti, Lagbaja, Tiwa Savage, and Niniola to name a few.
She describes her sound as an Afrobeat, Afro-fusion, Afro-House, and Afro-soul blend with a bent on futuristic inclinations.
