On October 27, 2024, the Ashmusy Foundation’s inaugural Boss Up Empowerment Event unfolded at the Vintano Hotel in Lagos, creating a transformative experience for Nigerian women entrepreneurs. 

Dr. Amarachi Amusi, the foundation’s founder and a public figure popularly known as Ashmusy, awarded ₦500,000 to each of ten deserving women.

Along with the grants, the foundation provided essential equipment tailored to the recipients’ industries, including sewing machines, filming kits, and kitchenware.

This support enables these entrepreneurs to expand their businesses in fashion, beauty, and content creation, sectors where Nigerian women are making significant inroads.

The event’s guest speakers, including actress Uche Ogbodo and media personality Anita Joseph, inspired attendees by sharing stories of resilience and underscoring the vital role of women in Nigeria’s economy. Among the celebrated awardees were Adakwu Oluchukwu Cromwell, founder of The Virgin Flaurel, and Sylla Nbalu of Puritys Kitchen.
