“That the accounts of the Section should be jointly investigated by the Club’s internal and external Auditors and the Treasurer of the Club. The report of their findings must be submitted to the Executive Committee of the Club and the Board of the Trustees within the next four weeks.”
“The situation at the Ladies Section has become so embarrassing to the Club and its members. The allegations against the Lady Captain are so overwhelming that cannot be overlooked, especially now that the issue has found its way to the media. It is indeed so shocking that despite the intervention of the Trustees through our Chairman, His Excellency, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the Lady Captain refused to accede to our proposal for peace by withdrawing her letter of wrongful allegations to Comrade Sodo,” the statement reads in part.
Meanwhile members, including past Captains of the Club are already collecting signatures from members calling for an emergency meeting of the Club during which a vote of no confidence will be passed on the Captain, Tunji Oladosu.
The Captain was alleged to have been taking side with the embattled lady captain by flouting the directives of the trustees refusing the order of removing her picture from the past Captains’ picture gallery of the Club.
