… Pray, fast for favourable verdict – Hassan
From Jude Dangwam, Jos
The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Plateau State Chapter has called on its members to offer fervent prayers for a favourable judgement as the Apex Court is set to deliver judgement into the Governorship election petition tussle between Barr. Caleb Mutfwang of the PDP and Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda of the APC on Friday 12 January, 2024.
The State Chairman, Hon. Chris Hassan through his Personal Assistant on Media and Protocol Mr. Kefas Sumdi in a statement on Thursday appealed to party faithfuls to restraint from any form of provocation, be calm and vigilant of their environment.
“Even though we walk through the darkest valley, we will fear no evil, for you are with us; your rod and your staff, they comfort us. You prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. You anoint our heads with oil; our cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow us all the days of our life,” Hassan prayed
The state Chairman maintained that the prayer and fasting become necessary for God to intervene in the litigation battle as God will preserve their mandate, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” He stated
Hassan further called on his members to be focused, calm and not to panic, adding that “in everything with prayer and supplication, let our request be made unto God”
