For Rareworks Records label’s CEO, Agbamudia Jamen, music is one of the best forms of therapy as some life challenges can be remedied by mere listening to music.
According to him, “I believe in the power of music to change lives and I want to create a space where that magic can happen.”
Jamen noted that establishing Rareworks Records is all about making dreams come true. “I saw it as a platform where artistes can express themselves freely, push boundaries and connect with their fans. When an artiste wants to join Rareworks Records label, one of the most important things that I look for is talent and belief. I want someone who can create a unique pattern of art instead of copying the style of others. I want an artiste who is authentic and passionate about his/her craft. I value artistes who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and express themselves freely. Someone that’s kind, honest and understands teamwork.”
The Rareworks Records’ boss added that shortchanging an artiste is against his philosophy. “We don’t force anyone to sign a contract that they’re not good with, it has to be fair to them. We promote their work effectively and provide them with the resources they need to succeed.
