…As president mourns Saudi Prince Al Saud

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated General Theophilus Danjuma (rted), on his 86th birthday, describing him as a Nigerian of the noblest pedigree.
In a statement issued by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu noted that the elder statesman remained unassuming but defining feature of Nigeria’s political landscape.
The President extolled Gen. T. Y. Danjuma for his many philanthropic ventures, recalling his commitment and dedication to supporting victims of terrorism through his reputable foundation and other vital initiatives.
“As the elder statesman turns 86, President Tinubu wishes him longevity, happiness, and strength in the service of our dear nation”, the statement read.
In a related development, President Tinubu has also commended the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, for his loyalty, dedication, and commitment to his renewed hope agenda.
He noted that Godswill Akpabio, had demonstrated over time, with measurable and lasting legacies which had transformed Akwa Ibom into one of the most vibrant and frontline states in the country.
In a statement, he described Akpabio as a political leader whose antecedents and achievements would continue to attract recognition at home and abroad.
President Tinubu affirmed the outstanding leadership qualities of the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, who became a Governor at 45, after serving as a Commissioner in three different ministries.
Tinubu prayed that God Almighty would continue to bless Akpabio and his family as he turns 61.
Meanwhile, President has commiserated with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman of Saudi Arabia, and the Royal House of Saud on the passing of His Highness, Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz bin Bandar Al Saud.
In a statement issued by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu, said he was sad about the loss, acknowledging the departed Prince’s excellent and dedicated service to his country throughout his outstanding career in the Royal Saudi Air Force and the Saudi Intelligence Agency.
As his memory is forever etched in the annals of the Kingdom he loved dearly, the President prayed God Almighty to grant repose to the soul of the departed, and comfort for the Royal House of Saud, the Kingdom, and all who mourn this irreparable loss.
