Traders at Electrical Market, Obosi in Idemili North Local government area of Anambra State have prayed against all odds working against the progress of their business especially the insecurity and Monday sit at home in the South East zone.

The traders at the end of the year crusade organised by Anambra State Market Evangelism led by Brother Silvanus Analike said that problem hindering progress of the traders and ease of doing business has been laid to rest this year and the next year will bring good tidings for the traders.

A guest preacher, Rev. Christopher Anyanwu in his sermon titled “Who is on the Lord’s Side” taken from the book of Exodus Chapter 32 verse 26 warned traders to be steady fast with God who is the author and finisher’s of our faith.

He prayed for the protection of people of the South East and the traders against the distraction from the Monday sit at home and insecurity bedevilling the zone in the recent time.

Rev Anyanwu warned the youths against idols worship and believing in charms, stressing that there is no powers in charms and blood of animals or even human blood but the blood already shed on Cross of Calvary by Jesus Christ who died for our sins.

“There is no other blood sacrifice higher, stronger and better than of blood sacrifice of Christ on the cross. That blood supersede any other blood sacrifice in any shrine or alter. That’s why when you call that blood and name of Jesus Christ every power on earth and beneath the earth will bow and surrender before it. You can use fowl blood, goat blood, cow blood or even human blood for sacrifice that will fail you but the blood of Christ when mentioned will destroy every other power.

“Our youths should stop idol worship, they should stop saying that Christianity is a scam. The traders should stop using charm because it doesn’t last and it doesn’t save anybody rather Jesus Christ saves lives, gives money and protect lives. They said that God doesn’t answers prayer faster and they resort to charm without knowing that God created the charm and the person who prepares the charm. God answers all the prayers at His own pointed time and not at our own time,” Rev Anyanwu.

The Coordinator of the Market Evangelism Bro. Analike said that programme was an annual prayer crusade to win souls for Christ and to renew the lives of the believers in the markets.

He thanked the state government for lifting the suspension of prayers in the markets.

The President General Electrical Dealers Association Comrade Johnbosco Chike Onukwo said that the market was blessed for hosting this year’s prayer crusade, saying that Building Material market hosted last year’s crusade.

He said that many people not only the traders from the market received blessings, healing and spiritual upliftment from the cruasde, saying that some traders were converted from their idol worship.
