The leader of the United Evangelical Church (founded as Qua Iboe Church),  Rev. Samuel Ebukiba, has called on Nigerians to learn to praise God in the face of challenges.

He enjoined the Christian faithful to imbibe the culture of thanksgiving irrespective of their problems and leave the rest to God.

He gave the admonition through the Chairman, Planning Committee, Rev. Idorenyin James, who addressed journalists in Lagos, while announcing the forthcoming 136th Annual Conference of the church slated for Monday, December 4 to Friday, December 8, 2023.

According to him, the five-day Conference with the theme: ‘Going From Strength to Strength’ will be held at Lagos Township Superintendence Headquarters of the Church, near Ojuelegba, Surulere.  The ceremony will be declared open on Wednesday, December 6, at 10 a.m. by the host and chairman of the Conference of the Church, Rev  Samuel Ebukiba.

Dignitaries expected at the occasion include the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, who will be the special guest of honour, his immediate predecessor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, and Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, among others.
