Irked by the dilapidated  conditions  of Benin by-pass section of the Lagos-Onitsha Expressway, Ezendigbo of Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos State, Eze Michael Ezekwobi has called on the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, to initiate urgent palliative repair of failed section of the Benin by-pass  which is has become a nightmare to commuters.

A statement by Ezekwobi said the repair of the road woold save lives and ensure a smooth journey to the South East, Northcentral, and other geo-political zones in the country.

While advising those who would be travelling for the yuletide to be safety conscious by observing speed limit, the royal father said excessive speed is a major cause of road accidents.

On how the work minister could attain the goal, Ezekwobi said he could use the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) in the immediate, and in the long run, replace the asphalt used on the old road with concrete.

While thanking God for peace and unity that exist among the Igbo in Ifako Ijaiye, he called on them to join him as he celebrates his birthday and thanksgiving on December 10.
