… Beneficiaries to depart November
From TONY JOHN, Port Harcourt
Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Worldwide, has restored its overseas university scholarship scheme, which was temporarily suspended.
Founder and General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, disclosed this to Saturday Sun in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Chinyere had on October 25, 2023, announced temporary suspension of the overseas scholarship scheme following high rate of exchange rate.
But, he assured beneficiaries and Nigerians that OPM would continue with the scheme once there was improvement in foreign exchange rate.
However, announcing restoration of the scheme on Friday, the cleric, who is widely known for his humanitarian works, expressed gratitude to God for making it possible for OPM to continue with the programme.
The OPM Founder and General Overseer delightfully told successful students who were previously selected for overseas scholarship but were later transferred to Nigerian universities, to prepare for their departure this November.
Apostle Chinyere said further that he had instructed his agent to restart the beneficiaries’ documentation and wished success.
He declared: “OPM overseas university scholarship has been restored. All the successful students that were previously selected for overseas scholarship, but were later transferred to Nigerian universities because of the high dollar exchange are to begin to pack there luggages because they will be travelling this month of November, 2023.
“I have instructed (my) agent to restart their documentation. Congratulations! What God cannot do, does not exist,” Chinyere expressed.
It would be noted that no fewer than 4,000 Nigerian undergraduates are on OPM scholarship studying in Turkey, Poland, London, United States of America, Cyprus and Benin Republic. At ESN University, Benin Republic alone, Chinyere has over 600 students on scholarship.
Ends.
