A former commissioner in Ogun State, author and politician, Alhaji Suleiman Adebodun Onabiyi is dead. He transited on Sunday, October 22.

The elder statesman was renowned for his grassroots politics and philanthropy in his community and beyond, which earned him a book entitled, “Prince of the Grassroots: A biography of Chief Suleiman Onabiyi Okanlomo of Egbaland.”

According to the family statement, “With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved patriarch, Alhaji Suleiman Onabiyi. He has embarked on his journey from mortality to immortality, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished. This obituary is a tribute to his remarkable life.”
