The pride of Igbo people in the Republic of Ghana and their leader, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, has continued to use his highly revered position to preach tolerance, love, unity, peaceful coexistence and economic integration not just within the West Africa sub-region but the entire black race , as he keeps playing host to Nigerian and African leaders.
Just like the Biblical Queen Sheba (called Makeda), who visited Solomon’s Court after hearing much about his leadership exploits, divine wisdom, and how best he had used it to dispense justice and rule the children of Isreal, the newly appointed Gambia Ambassador to South Africa (as at the time of this meeting); a former Speaker of the Gambia National Assembly, Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Fatoumata Jahumpa Ceesay visited the Diaspora paramount ruler of the Igbo people in Ghana, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, not only for counsel and his Royal blessings, but also as part of her coverage of duties to oversee the neighbouring South African nations, consult African leaders and seek their supports as well as making her portfolio a bit bigger, creating a new vista for economic tie and relationship with other African countries.
President Adama Barrow of Gambia, in his personal drive and determination to get the best hands available to serve in his second term in office as he has settled down to work, graciously engaged this Amazon of a woman and peace advocate; knowing that Dr. Mrs. Fatoumata Jahumpa Ceesay would bring to the table her rich work ethics and wealth of experience and exposure as a legislator and diplomat in serving her country both in government and outside of the government.
While according Ezeigbo Ghana, HRM Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, his place of pride as a respected African leader and custodian of the Igbo traditional stool in the Republic of Ghana; the August visitor and Gambian Ambassor to South Africa maintained that, it is on record that Gambia and South Africa are strategic partners to both Ghana and Nigeria in terms of business and investment and she intended to drive that home having resumed her official assignment as the Representative of the people of Gambia to South Africa with all diligence, energy, candour and high sense of responsibility to duty .
Addressing the Foreign Diplomat alongside the retinue of her entourage, HRM Eze Ihenetu expressed that he would continue to preach peace, love, unity, coexistence as well as economic tie between Gambia and Nigeria as most Igbo people and other Nigerians live and do their businesses both in Gambia and South Africa.
