AL-FAROUQ AMINU, a member of the AfroBasket 2015 winning squad for Nigeria yesterday evening stormed the training of the D’ Tigers at the Indoor Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Aminu, the Portland Trail Blazers forward who came to the training session in company of Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF member Ejike Ugboaja was excited to see his teammate and captain of the team Ike Diogu whom he spoke heartily with on the preparations for AfroBasket defence.
Speaking exclusively with Daily Sunsports, Aminu expressed happiness to be back in Nigeria having just concluded his camp in Ibadan. “It’s nice to be back home. My camp this year is on a low key.”
On the defence of the AfroBasket title which Nigeria won in Tunisia in 2015, Aminu said the idea of being in Tunisia again excites him. “It would be nice to be back in Tunisia. It holds fond memories for us and I believe in the players to do a good job. I just need to sort a few things out and the rest would be taken care off being in the team to Tunisia,” he stated.
