Many entrepreneurs sometimes find it difficult to pinpoint their most memorable moments as a businessperson, but Iyamu Kelvin, a Creative Director for Krypt; a Streetwear brand, he has clarity of such a moment in his life.

For Iyamu, his fashion entrepreneurial journey started back in his university days, when he had no inkling of what it takes to own a brand.

He said: “I’ve always been passionate about fashion & clothing and the culture that surrounds it. I was still in the university when I decided that I will have a clothing brand though I didn’t even know how to go about it or what step to take. I just had it in my mind and I started nurturing the idea. I didn’t even know much about the big names in the fashion industry at that time but I knew what I wanted. It wasn’t someone that actually inspired me to start, I just wanted to do it. I later started following up with some of my favourite fashion creatives like late Virgil AbI, of blessed memory, Mike Amiri , Rhuigi, Demna etc. I saw an opportunity to create a brand that reflected my own personal style and values, and that’s how Krypt was born. We started small, with just a few designs and a limited production run, but the response was overwhelmingly positive. From there, we’ve continued to grow and expand, always staying true to our roots and our commitment to quality.”
