The traditional ruler of Okeagbe, headquarters of Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Oladunjoye Fajana has joined his ancestors.

Oba Oladunjoye was 80 years. The Asiwaju of Okeagbe, Otunba Solomon Oladunni broke the news of the monarch’s death.

He said the reign of Oba Oladunjoye was peaceful, progressive, and eventful.

Also, when contacted, Prince Foluso Arasanyin the Palace historian, confirmed the passage of the monarch. He said: “Our hearts are heavy, laden with pains and grief at the announcement of the passing to glory of our highly revered monarch, Oba Oladunjoye Fajana, Ajana, the Afa of Okeagbe.”

Arasanyin said Oba Oladunjoye was a traditional ruler of note, describing him as a father, motivator, and youth-driven monarch who would always encourage the youths to rise to the challenge of taking the lead in rebuilding Nigeria.

In his own reaction, Prince Niyi Fajana expressed sadness over the death of his father, saying that his passage was a painful one.
