Congratulates Tinubu; expresses confidence in President-elect

Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has assured that the victory of his All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded presidential election for the benefit and development of democracy in Nigeria and other African countries.
Governor Yahaya who was the northeast zonal coordinator of the Tinubu campaign team stated this in an interview with newsmen on Thursday in Gombe, where congratulated Tinubu and his team for emerging victorious in the election.
The coordinator who could not deliver votes at his polling unit and the state for Tinubu celebrated that APC was able to grab 25 per cent of the total votes cast in Gombe.
Speaking on the upcoming gubernatorial election and the plan of the APC to emerge winner of the election the governor said, “we have realised our mistakes in the presidential election and we will make up before the next election”.
“I want us to continue to be steadfast, resolute, and strong, especially with the victory of the APC at the presidential level. Yes, we got surprises at the national assembly elections, but that has been a general issue all over the country, there were surprised about the poll in so many states, and in Gombe, we are no exception, but not the less we were among those states that deliver the minimum of 25 per cent to the APC and that is a good one,” the governor stated.
Despite the success of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in winning the presidential as well as two out of the three senatorial seats and five out of the six houses of representatives seat the governor said, “Considering the underlined factors, I still have the belief that we shall deliver on the governorship and state house of assembly that is coming up on 11th March.
I am confident because we have the capacity, we have the tenacity and our people are determined and especially with the success of Tinubu our people are encouraged and we will work hard to deliver,” Governor Yahaya further disclosed.
