A Nigerian, Ike Nwankwo, has been appointed as the Board Chair of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Nwankwo’s appointment marked a historic moment in the history of the institute as he becomes the first ever Nigerian and African to hold the prestigious position described by stakeholders as a landmark accomplishment, not only a personal triumph for the new chair, but also a significant milestone for Africa and the global project management community.
