It came like “manna from heaven.” That was the day the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation (SEOF), brought 7,500 bags of rice for distribution in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government, Ananbra State.
Beneficiaries of the gesture included Anglican, Catholic, Pentecostal churches, schools, Oraifite Police Area Command, civil defence unit, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and vigilance groups.
Chairman, Ekwusigo LG, Chimezie Obi, said Sir Emeka Okwuosa has “become a worthy asset and God-sent to the people. SEOF has not only brought reliefs to the people but has also through her Cardiology Facility Operations placed Oraifite, Ekwusigo and South East in the world’s hall of fame.”
Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi, commended Okwuosa for his selfless services to humanity: “He has through the foundation touched the lives of millions of people within and outside Nigeria.”
Executive director of the foundation, Sir Azuka Okwuosa, reaffirmed the commitment of the foundation towards empowering families from the four quarters of Oraifite and Ekwusigo in general:
“Oraifite has never had it so good especially with the provision of accessible and affordable Medicare, quality education with scholarships for indigent students, empowerment of youths, access roads to Oraifite hinterlands and Erosion control in parts of the community.”
President General, Oraifite Improvement Union, Sir Sunny Igboanuzue, described Okwuosa as “philanthropist per excellence.” He thanked the foundation for her wonderful provisions for the Oraifite community.”
