The Nasarawa State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) wishes to congratulate Christians the world over on the occasion of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
A statement sent to Daily Sun on Sunday on WhatsApp message by the secretary of the council, Sunday John, said the union also felicitates with the government and indeed the entire citizens of the state on this important spiritual engagement.
The leadership of the union in the state said this period offers the Christian faithful an opportunity for sober reflection on their individual relationship with God, as well as, for prayers of unity, mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance amongst all citizens.
The union prayed that God in his infinite mercy will intervene in the problems bedevilling the country and restore the lost values amongst Nigerians.
The leadership of the union prayed for a peaceful election in 2023 and urged journalists in the state to be professional in their conduct before, during and after the election.
