A member of the National Governing Board of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Prince Kunle Oyewumi has expressed appreciation to the Daura Emirate Council led by Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, for the conferment of the prestigious chieftaincy title of Sarkin Wasanni of Daura on the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare.

Acknowledging the contributions of Dare to nation building in various capacities, the Ogbomoso Prince stressed that the honour bestowed on the Minister is well deserved and timely.

While congratulating the new titleholder on this feat, the Board member urged Dare not to relent in his efforts at promoting grassroots sports development and youth empowerment in the country.

He said, “I am delighted to congratulate the Minister of Youth and Sports Development and Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland, Chief Sunday Dare, who will be officially conferred with the chieftaincy title of Sarkin Wasanni of Daura in a few days.

The Ogbomoso Prince wished Dare a successful reign as Sarkin Wasanni of Daura, while felicitating with family, friends and political associates of the Minister.
