No fewer than 35, 000 members of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI) would participate in the 2024 National Convention scheduled for next week, in Abuja.
The FGBMFI is the largest global organisation of Christian businessmen, professionals, and individuals from various Christian backgrounds whose mission is to call men back to God and promote godly values of integrity and hard work in the society, the marketplace, and nation-building.
The National President of the Fellowship, Ifeanyi Odedo, told journalists at a press conference in Abuja, on Friday, that the 2024 National Convention with the theme “I Come Quickly with My Reward” would also have participants join from 21 other locations in Nigeria and beyond.
He said: “Our annual conventions usually provide opportunities to address pressing national issues. We come together to pray for the nation, empower our members to be responsible citizens with impeccable integrity, and collaborate with our leaders in nation building. As the Bible instructs, we are to pray for those in authority and adhere to government ordinances and societal ethics recognising political leaders as God’s appointed ministers.
“This will be our first National Convention under the new democratic administration, and we aim to welcome the new administration while offering our support as they work to guide Nigeria out of our multifarious challenges especially insecurity and economic distress. Our support includes prayers and mobilising our members for positive civic engagements and modelling productive economic trends.”
